Jay Grubb’s career in insurance has always been rooted in agriculture and community. He began his journey with Farmers Insurance in 1992 and then moved to State Farm the following year. But by late 1994, Jay knew where he truly belonged — with a farm-oriented agency that understood the land and people the way he did. That decision brought him to Swanson Agency, where his Montana upbringing and farm background found a natural home.

As a Montana native raised on a farm, Jay’s connection to Swanson Agency is both personal and professional. He already knew RT and saw in the agency a mission that resonated with his own values: straight talk, hard work, and trust built over time. What he enjoys most today is visiting farms and learning the ins and outs of each operation. Over the years, those visits have grown into long-standing relationships, shaped by Jay’s honest and consistent approach to every client he serves.

Outside the office, Jay makes the most of Montana’s great outdoors, hiking in Glacier National Park or water skiing in the summer. His travels have taken him as far as the Blue Grotto of Capri, and Hawaii remains on his bucket list. Whether he’s exploring the world or building connections at home, Jay carries the balance of heritage and forward vision that defines both his life and his work at Swanson Agency — Montana roots, future focused.
